Edritch Knight could be worth it to for the Wizard to get a bit more hit points and if you want to focus on touch attack spells with the better BAB. I honestly think its not working as intended, and should have 10 levels to get all the perks out of it for some wizard 10 + dragon disciple 10 combo to compete with Magus. An eldritch knight adds his level to any levels of fighter he might have for the purpose of meeting the prerequisites for feats (if he has no fighter levels, treat his eldritch knight levels as levels of fighter).

Dragon Disciple is a good 4 level dip for Gish types, and a good 10 level prestige class for Sorcs who specialize in transmutation (Dragon), and getting some gish like abilities strengths but don't want to give up their bloodline benefits. Eldritch Knight is apparently MUCH easier to qualify for compared to the TTRPG because you only need "martial weapons proficiency" feat in order to qualify for it. 7/10 Spellcasting for double the HP you would have otherwise had, high Str, Con, and Int, and stupid high Natural Armor bonus. You don't get anything fancy or any cool abilities to improve action economy, but you get a d10 HD and the full BAB that goes along with it.
By the way, the main benefit of the EK doesn't seem to be "being a magus" to me. I'm doing EK on a two weapon fighting crit fishing wizard.
