Is it just me or is he getting more attractive with every special?
There was definitely something more benign about him in places though.
Die Liste wurde am 02.08.2020 aktualisiert. Not my favorite delivery and at times supremely unrelatable. I even signed up to imdb and gave my first ever review just to let you, and all your fans of old, know just how disappointing an unknown Australian comedian has become corrupted by popular American media and fame. However, he manages to tie his gun control bit into a story about performing at a birthday party for Mariah Carey’s boyfriend James Packer with such precision, you almost don’t see it coming. The private party story was really good and really funny. External Reviews

Since we now know from watching The Jim Jefferies Show on Comedy Central that the comedian has a big fan and good friend in A-list movie star Brad Pitt.
While watching it I remembered these three docking, the chicken Story and the private party. I've been a fan of Jim jefferies long before he became an American political sheep. Elsewhere, Jefferies addresses his battle with depression and how it also affected his father, balancing out the more button-pushing jokes. So sad. This special is basically just a rehash of all his old jokes, telling a new audience about old jokes he told at his other shows. He used to be good. He’s clearly a changed man but it’s nice to see some old bits of him. I love all his old stand ups and his legit tv shows.
When Will 'Raised By Wolves' Season 2 Premiere on HBO Max? He has gone from that to what we see now, a has been.
Jefferies isn’t too different from Gadsby to break the fourth wall of comedy by describing how he constructs his shows, nor by revealing his own bouts with depression. Jefferies was as gleefully gobby as ever.
But his most comedically compelling routine was an account of a star-studded gig where he was teased by Eddie Murphy before ending up at the bar with a shouty Al Pacino and a laconic Warren Beatty. I love all his old stand ups and his legit tv shows. This is a representation of how California can ruin the quality of a comedian through Hollywood and L.A.'s political correctness from far leftists.
But then, This Is Me Now comes a full two years since Jefferies’s previous Netflix special, Freedumb. After the, that Americans essentially allowed it to happen, which of course didn’t sit well with some people.

Tales are told. He tries to make a point about Trump’s comment on Mexican immigrants being rapists, slams coal-mining towns for holding on to a dead industry, and winds up with: “I dislike deaf people.” He spends an inordinate amount of time explaining the sexual act of “docking” and will no doubt see some hate mail from the anti-circumcision crowd. Well, I must start right off by saying that the spark is fading.

Maybe he didn’t anticipate it becoming a refrain, but Jefferies is the comic with the gun control bit, something he points out in latest Netflix special This Is Me Now. Jim Jefferies, a comedian completely unfamiliar to me up until last night when I saw his highly refreshing Freedumb special, has now become a name synonymous with my new favorite form of niche entertainment: Celebrities doing great impressions of/sharing painfully awkward stories about doing gigs for other celebrities who barely fucking know who they are. Jefferies and Gadsby have lived two completely separate Australian experiences.
The only things that I remembered was Trump grabbing a woman by the pussy from behind and Jim’s son being circumcised. The title of the special could be broadly applied: This is a comic at 40 looking at his place in life. After the Las Vegas shooting, he said on his Comedy Central show that Americans essentially allowed it to happen, which of course didn’t sit well with some people. The gleefully irreverent Jefferies skewers “grabby” celebrities, political hypocrisy and his own ill-advised career moves in a brash stand-up special.
Age seems to not make Jim less dipressed, but not as harsh around the edges. This Is Me Now doesn’t focus on either, though there is an extended bit about Trump’s “grab them by the pussy” comment, followed by an exploration of the mechanics of actually grabbing one that goes on a bit too long. Is that another indicator of a potentially bad show for all comedians now?
But seeing This Is Me Now only spotlights his straight white male privilege (please dont @ me, I’m not one of them thar Social Justice Warriors).
I hope you realise all this when trump is re-elected by the majority of the American people for what he has actually achieved for America rather than what mainstream and social media and you have portrayed him as. Jim Jefferies described himself as the comedian who says cunt more than any other. He once was a great comedian. From a smutty attack on Donald Trump and the protocol of “pussy grabbing” — which pretty much wrote itself — to a ribald riff on swear words in sign language, Jefferies was as gleefully gobby as ever. It's a little too political at times which to me is fine if it lands but a lot of the jokes didn't land. Jim's ride, thus far, has built him a foundation that delivers insight, joy, laughter and even embarrassment. I've been a fan of Jim jefferies long before he became an American political sheep.
