Eleanor Roosevelt College Orientation 2020. Led by the principles of Ujima (collective work and responsibility), Kujichagulia (self-determination), and Nia (purpose), the ABDLLC (Black Housing) will function as cooperative community with the following shared goals: The ABDLLC (Black Housing) aspires to be a platform that African Black Diaspora students and their allies can use to exhibit their authenticity and agency while engaging with Blackness and its full range of humanities, necessities, and potentials.

We want to ensure all genders, gender identities and gender expressions are included in our housing, dining and hospitality effort. Upong completing your Room Selection Application you will be able to apply to one of the two scholars communities. Eligibility To Apply:  Must have completed the 2020 Room Selection Application in full (including $450 prepayment). If spaces are not available at their self-selection date/time, students will receive a delayed assignment and be assigned at a later date. A dedicated Living Learning Community (LLC) where Warren Transfer students are able to live and learn together in the same community within their. UC San Diego is committed to creating more spaces where our diverse population of undergraduate students can connect with each other, with the university and with others within the community. This program will provide a space in the new apartments in Sixth College at North Torrey Pines Living Learning Neighborhood for current continuing UC San Diego students from all 6 Colleges to live, gather, learn from one another, and build a strong community. They're affordable and those in Pepper Canyon Apartments will have the option to choose a 'No Dining Plan' or one of the current 2020-21 dining plans. Students from ERC compete against students from other colleges in athletic events, with one of the colleges winning the Golden Shoe trophy. For directions, please see below. Collectively, this is a community and a cohesive program that provides a comfortable living environment for its participates. Transfer students will get the opportunity to live with one another, take cohort classes, and build a community. The MCLLC has provided opportunities for residents to work with Student Promoted Access Center for Education and Services (SPACES) and has collaborated with UCSD’s Cultural Centers to coordinate and promote programs focused on student activism. There will be a number of available room types based on the designated Room Selection Community. Our Living-Learning Communities (LLCs) have been developed to strengthen learning by helping residents to connect academically and socially. All applications or optional housing information is accessible via the Room Selection Portal. Our website uses Javascript to enhance the visitor experience.

Transfer LLC residents will occupy the 3rd through 6th floors of Brown Hall, a 100-bed residential building comprised entirely of apartment-style single rooms with communal lounge spaces. You can find us on the UC San Diego map (by searching “International House”). Residents also have the opportunity to be part of an advisory council that provides direction and feedback about the activities and programs that are offered to members of the LLC.

Be sure to meet all deadlines. The Raza Living-Learning Community (RLLC) will provide a space in the Eleanor Roosevelt College neighborhood for new and continuing UCSD students from all six colleges to live and contribute to a vibrant community. Students who opt in (by March 1, 2020 at 11:59pm) will be able to self-select into available spaces designated by their Room Selection Community. The Raza LLC program provides a space within the International House complex and one of the residence halls in Eleanor Roosevelt College for new and continuing UCSD students from all six colleges to live and contribute to a vibrant living-learning community. The LGBTQIA+ Program is housed in the Tuolumne Apartments in the Muir residential complex, and is open to any student from any College who is eligible for undergraduate housing. One of these events is the UnOlympics, a competition between the six UCSD colleges. This living and learning opportunity is going into its 3rd year and is a dynamic program in which residents  participate in a variety of activities and programs. Students that are eligible (have a housing guarantee) are able to apply after they've completed the Room Selection Application. Follow instructions to apply for room selection. Current residents with no housing guarantee who sign-up for the Room Selection Interest List will also be able to submit an aplication for a Living-Learning Community.
