The main aims of Black History Month are to celebrate the achievements and contributions of black people not just in the UK, but throughout the world and also to educate all on black history. Other highlights from the programme include an entrepreneurship ‘hackathon’ in which students work to address four specific problem areas for businesses to improve opportunities and integration for people of colour (POC), and a talk on the geographies of slavery tourism by Dr Emmanuel Adu-Ampong.
