Peck High School was the first and only black high school, in the area, which goes back one hundred and thirty-two years ago, beginning in 1885. Ideal as a supplement to a curriculum or for independent study. Peck High School, renamed the Peck Center, was restored by the City of Fernandina Beach, who in years past acquired ownership from the Nassau County School Board, and is now a significant community facility.
