What an adventure that could be. There is "Epic Legacy" for 5e, where players can basically go over level 20 and beat up gods. While MOAR STATs is always good, big M is probably on a par with a demi-god and so probably shouldn't be 'killable'. Sure, it would be fun to homebrew some 10th-20th (or higher) level spells that they can cast at will, but what's the point? That should never be statted out. While I see what you're saying, greater deities like Bane, Cyric, and Pelor, etc will most likely never be statted because there is no point in statting a creature that can essentially remove beings from existence with the snap of the wrist.
