It's the era he competed in, Mariusz was amazing, but the limit strength of his opponents and the events in the contests at the time seem to give him a write off. So for 2005-2008 each organization only had half of the top strongmen at the time. IMO he is the third best after Kazmaier and Big Z, and he was the dominator but less dominant than Kaz was.
