The film Thirty-Nine Steps is a brilliant adaptation of the adventurous but complicated novel written by Scottish author John Buchan. Hannay is not only on the run from police but is also trying to find out the nature of the potential national security breach to clear his name. She begs him not to answer it, and he obliges. The 39 Steps is the first play that I saw from the School of Arts and Sciences at Ohio University.
